Wednesday we took a little time out to go ride the London Eye. Yeah, it's a little pricey, but what a view!

Here you will see the shadow of the eye on some of the lovely buildings on the down-sun side of the eye.

It's just a giant ferris wheel.  You go up in pods, which usually hold up to maybe 10 people. Pods are mostly transparent, as you'll see here.




 From the pods you see in every direction.

You can see Trafalgar square, Wembley, the Shard, St. Paul's, the Tower Bridge, and a long stretch of the Thames.

Basically, it is the birds-eye view of the old city. It's quite lovely.
